These days all ploticians do is whatever mess will get them re-elected. All the government support we received during the civil rights movement was done so that the bad black masses would vote for Johnson, or who's his name in Alabama. It works both ways, some unprejudiced white officials ruled in favor of racist laws simply because that's what the whites (who will re-elect him/her) want..that's off topic...even the politicians In Jay's day (Pilate, Herod, and the high preist homeboy) were not interested in the actual heart of the matter, they were interested in controlling the masses, and gaining approval. That's clearly evidenced when Pilate winds up condeming Christ even though he personally sees no wrong. It's inevitable. I know mad Christian ploticians. I could drop names of people I actually know, and people I know of...but they're so tied up with the office, that they never use it. It's like buying a nice car and then babying it, or these people with the SUV's in the city who are afraid of grass and curbs....Jesus cut the office out, and went ahead and did things that had political ramifications without being all up on TV or in some courtroom trying to get the ten commandments cemented to a wall. He was strong and peaceful, and his meekness, wasn't weakness...he chose to stay out of politics, and often avoided crowds that wanted him for the wrong reasons...I just think that there's something seriously wrong with Christians who are going after a better quality of life for themselves...that sounds backwards. But it's true. How can you fight so hard against homosexual legislation without a single thought towards outreach and reconciliation with the same group of individs? The last thing Christ asked was that we share his love and show people what was shown to us. How can that be done en masse in a courtoom? Much of the right wing Christian legislation sounds to me like it's all good intentions, and morals, which apart form the fundemental understanding of what Jesus DID and was about, is USELESS. What a joke. To put a Christian in a courtroom to waste time on issues that have no saving power. So you win your little case, and now what? How has the GOSPEL been advanced? I'm not AMISH

I'm a filmmaker...so I'm not staid and traditional at all, and at the same time, I'm not gonna knock these people who truly feel as though they are obeying God by being in court, and working the system...but you know who I'm talking about...all these guys who point fingers instead of offering an embrace.
Who cares about nicely paved streets if they lead to Hell?
Who cares if little Lisa doesn't have an abortion, and now she AND her little goody goody kid miss the message of Christ?

Like I said before...I'm pro choice.
If you dont' choose life, then that's your problem.
